Privacy Policy

domain. (“domain.”, “we”, “us”) is an app and website (getdoma.in) that helps you keep track of the domain names you own — their expiry dates, registrars, and status — and watch names you’d like to claim. It is operated by Lior Pesoa. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We are not a domain registrar and do not sell or register domains ourselves.
Information we collect
Account information
You can start using the app anonymously — an anonymous account holds no personal identifiers. When you choose to sign in, we use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, and receive the email address associated with that sign-in plus a user identifier. We never receive your Apple or Google password.
Content you add
The domains you save, plus any details attached to them: registrar, expiry date, notes you write, the collections you organize them into, your watchlist, and your per-domain notification and monitoring preferences.
Searches
Domain names you search for in the app, so the service can return availability results.
Notification token
If you allow notifications, Apple gives us a push token for your device so we can send expiry and monitoring alerts. You can revoke this any time in iOS Settings.
Messages you send us
When you use “Contact us,” we receive your message and any email address you provide so we can reply.
Marketplace listings and transactions
If you list a domain for sale, or make, counter, or accept an offer, we store the listing details (price, sale terms, status) and the offer and transaction history tied to your account. If a sale proceeds, we share your email address, the other party’s email address, the domain name, and the agreed price with Escrow.comto create and manage the transaction. Escrow.com may separately collect identity-verification information directly from you as part of their own process — we don’t receive or store that information, and their privacy policy governs it.
Usage analytics
We use Vercel Analytics, which measures aggregate traffic to our website without cookies and without building cross-site advertising profiles of you.
What we don’t collect
We don’t process payments or collect payment-card data ourselves — Marketplace transactions are funded and paid out entirely through Escrow.com, described below. We also don’t collect precise location, your contacts, or your photos, and we don’t use third-party advertising trackers.
How we use your information
- To provide the service — store your domains and show their status.
- To send the expiry and monitoring notifications you turn on.
- To respond when you contact us.
- To keep the service secure and working, and to fix problems.
- To attribute affiliate referrals when you choose to open a registrar link (see below).
How information is shared
We don’t sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that make the app work, and only as needed:
- Supabase — hosts our database and authentication (stores your account, domains, and preferences).
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, and the Apple Push Notification service for alerts.
- Google — Sign in with Google, when you choose it.
- Vercel — website and API hosting, and the privacy- friendly analytics described above.
- Web3Forms— delivers your “Contact us” messages to our inbox.
- Domain registries (RDAP)— we query public registry records for a domain’s expiry and registrar. We send only the domain name, never your personal information.
- impact.com and domain registrars — only if you tap a link to renew or register a domain (see below).
- Escrow.com— only if you complete a Marketplace transaction. We share your email address, the other party’s email address, the domain name, and the agreed price to create and sync the transaction. Escrow.com collects any identity-verification information directly from you; we don’t receive or store it.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.
Affiliate links
Some links that take you to a registrar (for example, to renew a domain) are affiliate links, managed through impact.com. If you register or renew after following one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. A random, anonymous click identifier may be passed for attribution. We do not share your identity, email, or domain list with the registrar; once you arrive at their site, their own privacy policy governs.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, saved domains, collections, and notifications. Search history is disassociated from your account. Backups are purged on a rolling basis.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to our systems is restricted, and we rely on reputable infrastructure providers. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
International transfers
Our providers may process and store data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete your account in-app, or contact us to exercise any of these rights. We will not discriminate against you for doing so.
Children
domain. is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we’ll make a reasonable effort to notify you.
